The go-to downtown Las Vegas hotel and casino resort, the Plaza Hotel & Casino, announced that its iconic fireworks show is expected to return soon. The fireworks display this year will start at an earlier date and run for longer when compared to 2024.
Plaza’s Fireworks Show Marks Its Return on May 2
The popular downtown Las Vegas resort recorded significant success during its Welcome to the Weekend Summer Friday Fireworks Show last summer. Building on that success, the operator confirmed that the famous fireworks show, delivering unforgettable experiences for hotel and casino guests and tourists, is set to return earlier this year, starting on May 2, 2025. As noted, the show is going to run for a longer period this year, extending through September 26, 2025.
The fireworks show will be visible to thousands of tourists and downtown Las Vegas locals. Undoubtedly, the stunning fireworks display would be seen from miles away, considering that they will be shot from the Plaza’s towers. A viewing party at the Plaza’s rooftop pool deck would kick off every Friday night at 7 PM. The party will include special drinks, unique photo opportunities and a DJ.
The fireworks show would be taking place every Friday night at 9:15 PM and one special guest would be invited to “ignite” the fireworks. To elevate the excitement even further, guests who have purchased cocktails from the Plaza rooftop bar between 7 PM and 9:30 PM will have the unique opportunity to join a raffle featuring a weekly prize that will be drawn right after the fireworks show.
It’s important to note that visitors must be 21 years or older in order to purchase drinks at the bars. Following the spectacular fireworks show, the exciting party will continue at the Plaza’s Carousel Bar until 11 PM.
The Show Helps Create Unforgettable Summertime Experiences
Jonathan Jossel, the Plaza’s CEO, spoke about last year’s fireworks show, explaining that the hotel and casino received an overwhelmingly positive response from its guests. He said that the fireworks show this year will run for 22 weeks, which is longer than last year.
Moreover, Jossel said: “Summertime weather in Las Vegas starts earlier and lasts longer so why shouldn’t our fireworks?” Finally, Plaza’s CEO added: “We are creating an unforgettable summertime party in downtown Las Vegas, and we thank our downtown neighbors for their support.”
Plaza’s fireworks show is inspired by the fireworks display at Disneyland and seeks to elevate the excitement and create unforgettable experiences for its guests. The fireworks display is an inseparable part of the downtown Las Vegas experience and its unique summer block parties that attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.
